"Shah Rukh Khan Is Pretty Shaken Up With Zero’s Failure": Saare Jahan Se Achcha Writer On Why SRK Quit The Film
SpotboyE.com broke the exclusive news about Shah Rukh Khan quitting Saare Jahan Se Achcha as he wants to work in Don 3 instead. At that time, writer of the Rakesh Sharma biopic, Anjum Rajabali had said that SRK has not quit the film. However, this morning, we woke up to his statement where he has not only agreed to Shah Rukh not being a part of the film but has also given a reason for it and that according to him is "failure of Zero."

As we all know, the Aanand L Rai flick did not go down well with the audience and also didn't ring cash registers for the makers. Citing the same, Anjum Rajabali, in a statement has said that space drama is not an issue but it's Zero's failure which has shaken up SRK a lot and hence he is being very careful about his next choice.

Rajabali's statement in Mid-Day reads, "If you are asking me, there was a problem with the script (of Zero). Himanshu (Sharma) is a very talented person but things go wrong sometimes. I don't think he said no to Saare Jahan Se Achcha because of space (angle). I think he is also pretty shaken up. He was banking a lot on that."

Talking about who will step into SRK's shoes, you may recall, we had told you that it's Vicky Kaushal, who has been almost finalised for the role. Meanwhile, the update about Don 3 is that the makers are still working out on the script. Recently, producer Ritesh Sidhwani opened up about the film and said, “We are still working on it (Don 3)and don’t know when it will happen. It’s keenly awaited franchise and we can’t disappoint fans”.  On the other hand, Shah Rukh may collaborate with Bhansali and Salman Khan in the remake of  Meena Kumari’s classic Baiju Bawra.
